Born and raised in the Ottawa Valley, Dr. Kristin Ling learned the benefits of living healthy through sports and the outdoors. Dr. Ling graduated from Laurentian University with a Bachelor’s of Physical and Health Education with a concentration in Health Promotion.

With a lifelong interest in Chiropractics and health care, Dr. Ling earned her Doctorate of Chiropractic at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. At school, she gained additional experience while she provided chiropractic care at the Aptus Children’s Centre for children who have developmental disabilities.

Dr. Ling enjoys working with people of all ages and activity levels. She finds working in pediatric, pre and post-natal care especially rewarding.

Her patients enjoy a patient-centered, evidence-based approach which includes: * Spinal Manipulative Therapy * Acupuncture * Mobilizations * Soft Tissue Therapy * Rehabilitation Exercises & Education

She is also well versed in a number of techniques including Activator, taping and drop piece/toggle board adjusting.

Outside of the clinic you can find her hiking with her dog, doing jigsaw puzzles and taking advantage of al that the Valley has to offer!

Dr. Lisa Murray B.Sc., N.D., R.Ac. (formerly Doran) is a Registered Acupuncturist (R.Ac) and a Naturopathic Doctor (N.D.). and a leader in the field of women’s medicine. Dr. Murray blends compassionate care with over two and a half decades of clinical experience. She relishes the opportunity to collaborate with her patients and their care teams to provide individualized, evidence-informed and tradition based care that affirms and empowers.

In addition to her work as a clinician, Dr. Murray is also an accomplished teacher, sought after speaker at conferences across the country and author of books and articles in the area of Naturopathic Medicine and Acupuncture.

Away from clinic, Dr. Murray is a native of Renfrew County. Born and raised in Barry’s Bay and the 7th generation of her family to make her home here. She enjoys spending time with her seven children, her three dogs, and in her red canoe. She is a registered Bee Keeper and she is also a hand spinner and a weaver.

Dr. Murray practises at Physio in the Valley in Pembroke, at the Natural Health Centre in Barry’s Bay, and Online Virtually through the Ontario Telehealth Network.

Donna Saal was born and raised in Pembroke and is thrilled to be back in the Valley doing what she loves. She graduated from the Physiotherapy program at the University of Ottawa in 1996 and started on a path of post graduate training that has lead to a great interest in orthopedics, manual therapy, women’s health, and pediatrics.

In addition to her orthopedic manual courses, Donna has been trained in acupuncture, and the treatment of women’s pelvic pain and incontinence. She has also completed five years of training at the Canadian College of Osteopathy and applies osteopathic concepts and skills to her physiotherapy practice.

Womens’ Health: Donna has been practicing in the field of women’s health for 20 years. She is trained with an advanced certification/specialization in Pregnancy and Post-Partum physiotherapy and pelvic floor rehabilitation . Paul Saal was born in Sudbury, Ontario and relocated to Pembroke in 2001 to open Physio in the Valley with his wife, Donna. He graduated from the University of Ottawa’s Physiotherapy program in 1996. He also completed three years of Occupational Therapy at the University of Ottawa.

Paul has studied orthopedics and manual therapy and had worked solely in hand therapy prior to advancing his manual therapy skills. He also completed five years at the Canadian College of Osteopathy and uses osteopathic concepts and techniques in his daily physiotherapy practice. Justin was born and raised in the Ottawa Valley. After spending several years studying away from home, he always knew he would return to this place that he loves. Justin has been an integral member of the PITV team for over 7 years and he is proud to serve this great community, helping his clients become stronger, healthier and to move better.

Justin pursued his undergraduate degree at Ottawa University where he received an Honours Bachelor of Health Science degree. He then continued his education at Western University in London, Ontario where he earned his Masters of Physical Therapy. Justin joined the PITV team right out of school and has embodied the clinic’s vision since day one. He strongly believes in the great team approach at PITV and this is one of the many ways that Justin helps our client’s achieve their desired goals.

Justin considers himself to be a movement-based therapist with a very active approach to getting you better. He has a strong background in orthopedics, manual therapy, sports therapy and strength and conditioning. He has completed courses in the manual therapy divisions, Mackenzie courses, Selective Functional movement assessment (SFMA) and Functional Movement Screens. He also specializes and has training in Dry Needling, which he finds is very helpful for a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions. Advanced courses in cervical spine and McGill Lumbar spine methods are just a few other areas that he has education in. He is also trained in Functional Capacity Evaluations to help determine impairments with screening and in-clinic testing to help guide recovery and return to safe work.

When he is not at work, you are most likely to find Justin pursing one of his various hobbies including beef farming, spending time outdoors, hunting, fishing, or boating, to name a few.
